THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CHANGED TO 15 OCT 2022. IT IS NOT SURE IF THE FLOTILLA WILL BE ABLE TO MAN A BOOTH. IT IS THE SAME DATE AS THE DIVISION 14 MEETING AND MOST OF THE MEMBERS MANNING THE BOOTH WILL BE AT THE DIVISION 14 MEETING. WILL PROVIDE FURTHER GUIDANCE IN THE NEXT DAY OR SO.
The St Marys Seafood Festival (as known as the Rock Shrimp Festival) on Saturday October 1th is one of the Flotilla's traditional public affairs events. There is a parade followed by a street festival at which we host a PA booth where we discuss boating safety and our PE classes with the boating public. It also is a chance to seek new members for Flotilla 14-1.
In addition, Station Mayport is sending one of its boats, which will dock on the St Marys Waterfront and which will be offering tours to festival attendees. The USCG boats attract a number of visitors especially children.
We are planning to have three shifts:
Please sign-up for one of these shifts. You will be rewarded with a great time not to mention great food from the many food trucks there.
Uniform will be ODUs with boots.
